What is The Doctor's Lounge?
The Doctor's Lounge is a private, in-person social club for physicians and private practice owners in New York City. Located at the historic Transportation Building at 225 Broadway in Lower Manhattan, we are a gathering space for doctors and clinicians to collaborate across disciplines, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships on a personal and professional level.
Imagine a modern revival of the classic 19th-century intellectual salon, with the confidentiality and discretion that comes naturally to doctors.
You'll find a diverse mix of attendees: physicians across specialties, academics, non-physician doctors, other types of clinicians, and independent operators within the healthcare ecosystem. Each member brings a unique perspective on the same complex system, creating opportunities for the kinds of conversations that rarely happen in traditional settings.
Think of it as a neighborhood break room for the private practice owner who needs a relaxed third space to step away from the office to feel recharged or inspired.
Why join?
This is a season of change in medicine. A sense of instability is being felt in doctors and patients alike. As dazzling as the scientific advancements are, in proportion, the ancient practice of medicine as an art and a sacred calling feels fragile, and the greater context of this time chaotic and uncertain.
The Doctor's Lounge is the physical meeting space where all players may intersect and transcend their disciplines to better understand the practice, the science, the industry, the systems, and the changes in play in the enduring institution that is Medicine.
